This cap is what Christine LeGrow imagines a mermaid would knit from the kelp that washes up on the beach near her home. Moss stitch tendrils drape the back and sides providing warmth from the cold sea winds. The body of the cap is knit in vertical sections of moss and stocking stitch. The top is finished with three more tendrils of varied lengths. It is knit with Brown Heather which, when compared to the kelp, is of a very similar colour. We all know that mermaids spend their time searching out sailors and would not want to spend their time dying wool. This concept and design is by Christine LeGrow. Christine LeGrow imagines that these scarves are what a mermaid would knit to keep herself warm against the cold winds of the North Atlantic. Mermaids certainly surface from time to time in search of a handsome sailor. These scarves are knit entirely in moss stitch and feature tendrils at both ends in varied lengths. This shape is very similar to the kelp that washes up on the beach. The scarves are knit in brown heather only as this colour is similar to the kelp. Each scarf is a little different, just like two pieces of kelp are not the same. These two items are the concept and design of Christine LeGrow. Two general sizes are available and listed below.

This snug fitting cap is moss stitch band and then double knit to beginning of crown. It shows the points of a compass and has a magnet button on top. This cap comes with an additional information tag and a paper clip to verify its magnetic north pole top. Laurie and Christine LeGrow came up with the idea for this cap.
